Department of English

The Department of English, located at Hamar campus, provides teaching resources for primary, lower secondary and upper secondary teacher education, a 1-year programme in English, Master programme in culture and language didactics and Master programme in digital culture and communication, in addition to further and continued education for teachers.

The department staff also provides teaching and supervision on the PhD-programme in Teaching and Teacher Education. Department staff is involved in extensive research, publishing and dissemination activities and are involved in the research groups Literature and Literacy, English Language in Use and (to a lesser degree) Language and Society.

The department has 28 employees (6 professors (2 in 20%), 12 associate professors, 4 assistant professors, 4 PhD research fellows, and 2 publicly funded PhD research fellows)
