Faculty of Film, TV and Games

The faculty of Film, TV and Games was established on the 1st of August, 2024. The faculty offers creative and artistic educations within the fields of film, TV production and virtual reality, animation and game technology.

On 1 August, the Norwegian Film School, the TV School and the Game School were united under a new Faculty of audiovisual arts.

The Norwegian Film School offers a three-year artistic bachelor's degree and a two-year artistic master's degree, as well as a PhD in artistic Development work.

The TV School offers practice-oriented education in TV production, with bachelor's degrees in TV directing, TV management and TV technical functions, as well as academic studies in film and television science.

The Game School provides education in augmented and virtual reality, animation and game technology, offering bachelor's degrees in animation and digital art, game technology and simulation, as well as part-time studies in film music composition.

The faculty boasts high competence in film and audiovisual media. We maintain close industry ties and have a strong collaboration with the film, TV and gaming industries. Our staff engage in research, artistic development and other innovation activities in film, audiovisual production and creative technology.
