Updating your student card.
Update units are located at all entrances in the dormitory building and outside the reception. The student card must be updated at least every 30th day, but we would like you to update your card more often to ensure the security of the system.
When updating the card, hold the student card in front of the updating unit. Wait until the blue flashing light appears and then changes to the green light indicating that the update is complete.
The update may take a little longer the first time the card is updated.

If the update shows a blue flashing light followed by a red light, the card is not activated for SALTO. Contact the Operations Department, use this form please.

The housekeeping staff can help with guidance regarding cleaning and which cleaning items can be used. A representative of the housing unit must be present during inspection of the condition of the common areas (kitchen, bathroom, and hallway). Inspection will be carried out once a week according to the plan displayed on the notice board.
Cleaning equipment for lending can be found inside the laundry rooms. Remember to return the equipment after use.

Cleaning when moving out

When you move out, you must contact the person responsible for housekeeping well in advance (approximately 2 weeks before you move out). Send a notice via the operations notification form to housekeeping.

You will receive a moving-out-form digitally from SINN, which you must fill in before moving out.

All private furnitures must be taken away before moving out. Those who are to continue their tenancy into the next academic year must clean and retrieve personal belongings from common areas to store in their housing unit / storage room.
In the event of inadequate cleaning of the housing unit / common areas when moving out the tenant is invoiced according to the time elapsed and the current hourly rate (NOK 550 per hour).

Kitchen when moving out
All food must be removed from cabinets, refrigerators, and freezers before cleaning.
The freezer must be defrosted. Those who share a refrigerator with others must agree on how to execute this.
If you have large quantities of food that you cannot use before you move out, these must be removed. This also applies to those who keep their dorm room over the summer. Everything must be emptied and cleaned.

If you have products you want to keep, these must be stored in a dorm room / storage room. Common areas must be prepared and cleaned to be ready for new students to move in.

Kitchen cabinets and stoves must be cleaned well, including hobs and grills.

Those who keep their dorm room over the summer and do not plan on being present on campus during the summer holidays, must clean up so that the kitchen is presentable for the new students who will move in in the autumn.

There must be no shoes / boots and other equipment in the corridor area.

Doghold

Dog food should be stored in closed containers inside your own dorm room, not in the common areas.
If there is a need to change the mattress topper when moving out, due to doghold, you must pay for a new mattress topper yourself.
Remember to clean up after your dog, both inside and outside.

Important: dogs must be leashed on campus year-round.

North of the dormitory building you will find an enclosed area where you can walk the dog without a leash.

You can apply to rent a dog enclosure for NOK 500,- per semester. These are located south of the dormitory building.
Use the online form to apply: nettskjema.no/a/345482
Please contact the reception if you have any questions.

Gun cabinet

In some rooms, there is a gun cabinet. To get the key to the cabinet, please contact the reception. The gun cabinets are first and foremost meant for students taking "hunting, fishing and nature guiding", but are rented out to others if there is capasity.
