The faculties are responsible for the programmes of study. This involves analysis and proposals regarding the development of quality in the educational programmes, the development of the portfolio of studies, the development of programme descriptions, the staffing of the academic communities with the right expertise, the implementation of the programmes of study, the learning environment and interaction with the surrounding environments.
The faculty’s responsibility for this lies with the dean. Each faculty has a vice-dean for education who is primarily responsible for the faculty’s work involving the quality of education and the development of the portfolio of studies.
The dean/vice-dean must approve the course evaluation schemes proposed by the programme of study committees, and maintain an overview of how the programme of study committees organise themselves.
