Jump into Sustainability

This toolkit contains several active learning methods and lessons that can help teachers empower students to be engaged participants in the learning process. The toolkit is developed for Baltic countries by adapting PERL methodology for the needs of this region: active cross-curriculum material that supports experiential learning in relation to responsible and sustainable living that is more engaging, interesting, and meaningful.

The awareness of the human impact on the environment has increased, and there is a greater focus on personal as well as global consequences of individual lifestyle choices, unfortunately, sustainable development is still not a central topic of educational system in the Baltic states. To solve this problem, The Lithuanian Children and Youth Centre (LCYC) started an Erasmus+ project „Jump into Sustainable Lifestyle“ with partners from Estonia, Latvia and Norway. One of the outcomes of this project was the development of the Education for Sustainable Living - Active Methodology Toolkit.
