Short description
Asmita Shrestha is a doctoral candidate in Reproductive Biotechnology at the Department of Biotechnology, Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences. Her research, as part of the Zygote project, utilizes techniques like transcriptomics, metabolomics, computer-assisted sperm analysis, flow cytometry, and fluorescence microscopy to assess sperm quality parameters.
Asmita's academic journey began with a strong foundation in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc & A.H), after which she earned the prestigious Erasmus Mundus scholarship to pursue a Master's degree in Animal Breeding and Genetics in Germany and Sweden. During her Master's program, she focused on genomic analysis.
Asmita's goals span research, development of reproductive biotechnologies, and their practical implementation in animal breeding. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and contributing to sustainable livestock practices.
