Short description

Bremer is a PhD Researcher at Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences. Her PhD research, conducted from 2020 to 2023 in collaboration with Geno SA, aimed to identify early indicators of sperm production onset and maturity in young Norwegian Red bulls. As a result of successful interdisciplinary collaboration, she developed an innovative automated technique for measuring the scrotal circumference of bulls using 3D imaging and deep learning. Her work revealed that Norwegian Red bulls reach maturity in sperm quality at different ages, emphasizing the need for early, individualized testing.

Prior to this, she worked as an Andrology Lab Technician at InviMed in Warsaw and as a Research Assistant at the Comparative Spermatology Laboratory at the University of the Western Cape.

Bremer holds a PhD in Applied Ecology and Biotechnology from Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences (Defended in 2023) and Master's in Animal Sciences from Warsaw University of Life Sciences (Graduated in 2018).

With her blend of scientific expertise and genuine curiosity, Joanna is always eager to explore new frontiers in animal reproduction science.
