Short description

I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow in Education, working on the research project Language Instruction at the Margins of Education (LIME). I have a teacher education from Sør-Trøndelag University College and a Master's Degree in English Teaching from NTNU. I taught Norwegian and English in an introductory programme for newly-arrived students before I completed a PhD in Education at Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences (2020). In my research, I apply sociolinguistic theories and research methods to investigate educational questions related to multilingualism in education. My research interests include: 

- Professional practice in multicultural and multilingual schools

- Multilingualism in teacher education

- Minoritised language education in and outside of school

I am supervising PhD candidate Lana Amro, serving as co-convenor for ECER-network 31 Language and Education, and leading the research group Diversity in Education in collaboration with Professor Thor-André Skrefsrud.
