Short description
Lana Amro is a research fellow in PROFF - PhD. in Teaching and Teacher education. Lana has general teacher education (classroom teacher education). She has a master degree in adapted education from INN. Lana has extensive experience as a bilingual subject teacher and mother tongue teacher/ Heritage language teacher for Arabic-speaking students. She also has experience as a university lecturer in INN in various subjects with a focus on linguistic and cultural diversity and inclusion in education. The PhD research project that Lana is working on has the following title "Arabic-speaking students' translinguistic and transcultural identity development through digital Arabic language learning". Lana's research interests include:
- Professional practices in multilingual and multicultural schools
- Minority language education in and outside school context.
- The linguistic and cultural identity of minority students.
- Inclusion of linguistic and cultural diversity in education in and outside school context.
- Translanguaging
