Torunn Synnøve Skjærstad

Short description

Torunn Synnøve Skjærstad works with English didactics at Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences and is currently working on her PhD. With an educational background in languages, history, and teaching, she has worked for a number of years as a teacher at various levels in Norway.

In her PhD, she investigates how literary texts about the First World War can contribute to the development of interdisciplinarity in the English lower secondary school subject. This builds on her general research interests, which are educational purposes of literature, the First World War in education, and interdisciplinarity in the English subject.
