Become an international Buddy
International exchange and full-degree students face cultural challenges upon moving to Norway for their studies. With assistance from their international buddies, the students will easily adapt to unfamiliar surroundings after arrival.
The deadline to apply is:
- 01 June for the following fall semester
- 01 December for the following spring semester
However, if the deadline has passed, contact your International Office; they may accept late applications.
About the programme
As an international Buddy, you will help create a good environment for international students at your campus. Being a Buddy entails helping plan events, supporting students, and assisting them throughout the semester. The programme is run differently on various campuses, so please get in touch with the International Office at your campus of study if you have any questions or want more details on how the programme is run.
This is the perfect chance for students to get an insight into cultural differences, e.g. before going abroad on exchange or internship. It is also a great opportunity for students who have been on exchange and miss the international aspect abroad.
If you are an international student at INN University, you can also become a Buddy during your second semester or later if you are a full-degree student. This will allow you to get to know new international students and contribute to creating a good environment for them at your campus.

Only three campuses are offering this programme in 2024/2025:
- Campus Evenstad
- Campus Hamar
- Campus Lillehammer
How to apply
- If you have any questions, contact the International Office at your campus of study.
- Apply through our application form. The same application form is used by all INN University campuses.
- Applicants will be contacted by e-mail with further information.
Some campuses may also be looking for Buddies only for Fadderuka in the fall semesters. If you are interested in this, contact the International Office.
