Connecting to eduroam

Eduroam (Education Roaming) is an international collaboration between research and educational institutions worldwide. The purpose of this collaboration is to offer both employees and students in various educational institutions, encrypted wireless access to the Internet.

Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences (INN University) is a member of this collaboration, where Eduroam is the preferred wireless network at the University. All study places at INN University have Eduroam available. More information about eduroam.

We recommend both employees and students of INN University to use the configuration assistant tool for Eduroam. This tool adds the necessary settings for connection to Eduroam. You can find this tool here:

Eduroam CAT (Configuration Assistant Tool)

  • Username for students: student number@inn.no.
  • Username for employees: username@inn.no.

If you are an employee or student at another academic institution, you can also log on to Eduroam. In case of any problems during login, it is recommended to use the tool Eduroam CAT. You select the correct profile belonging to your institution and enter the correct information for login. You can use the guest network hinn-guest to download Eduroam CAT.

Connecting to hinn-gjest (for guests)

Guests not belonging to educational institutions can log in to the hinn-guest network. Your name and telephone number are registered here and you receive a password which is sent to your mobile. Use this password to log in to the guest network.
