Summertime at the library

Library opening hours are different in summertime, and loan periods are a little longer than usual. Read about summertime at the library below.

Starting June 17th library opening hours will differ from the norm. The library will however be accessible outside of staffed opening hours, by using your student card/access card and pin code.

Be aware that you might require card and pin code to enter the school buildings as well.

Summertime loan periods

Summertime loan periods are already in effect at the library. This means that August 5th is the earliest required return-date on your loans. You can therefore safely assume that no returns are required in the middle of July. If your borrowed library books are not requested by others, a 4 week automatic renewal will be performed.

Extended loan periods do not apply for books borrowed from other libraries. If the owning library wishes for the book to be returned during summer, you must make sure to deliver the book to us, so that we can return it.

How to return books.

Books can be returned at the various campus libraries by using the self-service machine, or in drop-boxes if they are to be found. Remember that you can return loans at any and all campus libraries.

If you are not a student or a faculty-member, books must be returned during staffed opening hours.  You may inquire at your local public library if they are willing to return books for you.
If you wish to return via Posten, you will find our address here.

In need of books or journal articles from other libraries?

Interlibrary lending during summer is performed as per usual. The one exception is that other libraries may be closed for summer, making it more difficult to order books from them. If you wish for something to read during summer, we recommend that you request the literature as early as possible in June, maximizing your chances of getting it on time.
