Voting

You can vote at https://valg.inn.no. The voting is carried out as a preference vote (see more info on the electronic ballot). The candidate(s) you are voting for must belong to the same constituency and group (TA or UFF) as yourself. Unsure if you have the right to vote or which group you belong to? Read more about the right to vote and electoral register below.

Constituency

No one can vote in more than one constituency. If you are entitled to vote in more than one constituency, you must vote in the highest priority from the constituencies below:

1. teaching and research positions

2. technical and administrative staff

3. students

The right to vote

In order to have the right to vote, one must be employed in an ordinary position of at least 50% scope, and must have been awarded the right by the election day, at the latest. Anyone who has been appointed or employed for less than one year does not have the right to vote. Interns and employees on special employment measures do not have a right to vote. The right to vote lapses in the case of those who are granted leave to work in a position other than the one constituting the right to vote.

Electoral register

The rector is in charge of the electoral register. Electoral register lists are available on request at kristin.garstad@inn.no. Complaints about the electoral register are decided by the Election Board. Any complaints are dealt with on a continuous basis; the latest deadline for complaint is one week after the votes have been published.

Counting of votes

The votes are counted by the Election Board as soon as possible after the deadline for voting has expired, and then re-checked against the electoral register and electoral protocol before being published.

The term of office for the new INN University Board is from 1.8.2023 to 31.7.2027.
