What we research

Disability studies at INN University have a multi-disciplinary breadth and approach. The central themes have been tied to disabled people’s right to participate and right of co-determination in their own lives and in different societal arenas. User-involvement, inclusion, and empowerment are important keywords.

More about the research group

Researchers from INN University were central in the establishment and leadership of The Norwegian Network on Disability Research (NoNDR) in 2004. HINN arranged the first national conference in 2004, and again in 2014.
