Health and care in a life course perspective

The research group aims to develop innovative health and care services of good quality and in line with the preferences of patients, relatives, and healthcare professionals, and to contribute to collaboration with relevant interest groups (users, relatives, volunteers, managers, politicians) and international partners. The health services must ensure that the individual patient or user is provided with safe, comprehensive, and coordinated health and care services, delivered by highly skilled healthcare professionals. The research group's work is therefore particularly aimed at developing knowledge that can strengthen nursing expertise in the municipal and specialist health services and contribute to the further development of nursing education programmes.

What we research

Current and prioritized/desired research activities are directed towards the following main areas:

-  Elderly health and life situation

-  Palliative treatment and care

-  Relatives/families, volunteerism

-  Public health diseases related to lifestyle habits

-  Clinical research for individuals of all ages

-  Health economics

-  Service organization, innovation, and leadership Education

-  Pedagogy and development of nursing competence

 

Common themes within the research projects include:  Health-related quality of life and quality of services, nationally and internationally.
