Over recent decades social psychological research on gender has grown exponentially to include a wide range of topics and methodologies. SPRinG is a European network for social psychologists researching gender+ topics including (but not limited to) sexism, gender stereotypes, gender-based violence and discrimination, gender roles, and gender identity. The + represents the network’s focus on intersectional perspectives, as well as cultural.
The network was launched in 2023 at the preconference ‘gender’, which was held in Kraków in conjunction with the European Association for Social Psychology.
