Vision & mission

Most social psychologists researching gender are spread across a wide array of universities and topics which can make it difficult for academics, members of the general public, and policy makers to keep up to date with the research that is being carried out. In addition, much of the social psychological research remains locked into pay-for-view academic journals which are viewed primarily by other researchers.

With this in mind, SPRinG+’s key aims are to:

  1. Facilitate knowledge exchange between researchers and develop collaborative research projects across Europe and beyond.
  2. Disseminate research to the wider society.

Knowledge exchange between researchers

SPRinG+ will allow for:

  • Dissemination of research between members via its online colloquiums, and through its links with international conferences, workshops, and seminars.
  • Networking and collaboration via its membership database and chat forums.

Research dissemination to wider society

SPRinG+ will allow for:

  • A one-stop-shop of information on research and theory via its website and regular newsletter.
  • Engagement via key annual events including conferences, workshops, and seminars with the aim of making the research accessible to interested persons outside of academia.
