Ecology and Evolution

Do you have a dedicated interest in wildlife and the interaction between man and the environment? Would you like to deepen your competence in ecology and get an introduction to wildlife research?

If so, the semester program in Ecology and Evolution might be a good choice for you. Together with other exchange students from all of Europe, you will get a chance to discover Norwegian wildlife and work together with some of the most experienced wildlife researchers.

About the Programme

The study is a full-time basic study at the bachelor level extending 4 months and consisting of 30 ECTS credits. The study is given each spring (from the end of January to mid-June). 

This study program will get you expertise about:

  • Ecological theory with special emphasis on conservation, biogeography, evolutionary biology and population dynamics;
  • Existing conflicts between man and the environment on a global perspective;
  • Current issues and scientific methods in ecology and wildlife research.

These courses are available only for exchange students coming from our partner institutions. Contact the International Coordinator at your home institution to find out if you are eligible for exchange studies at Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences (INN University). Please notice that applications can be submitted for one campus only.

Further education opportunities

International Ecology and Conservation is useful for students that are planning a master degree in ecology or related subjects. The program can be combined with Boreal Forest and wildlife management (30 ECTS) or Practice in Applied Ecology (15 / 30 ECTS).
