English language and literature I

English is an important language all over the world. This programme is for exchange students urging to improve their English language skills and their understanding of the English language, English literature and culture in English-speaking countries. It is specifically recommended for students studying language or teacher education/similar.

About the Programme

This English taught study programme will improve both your skills and your knowledge. It will give a broad introduction to the English language and literature, and both theoretical and practical language skills are emphasised.

The semester consists of two courses, 15 ECTS each. The courses focus on grammar and phonetics (sound systems and intonation), and literature and civilization and culture in English speaking countries.

Practical information

The classes take place in Hamar, three to four days a week.

Application deadline and admission

The course is available only for exchange students coming from our partner institutions. A B2 level of English language is required. However, a C1 level is strongly recommended.

Contact the International Office/Department at your home institution to find out if you are eligible for exchange studies at Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences (INN University). Please notice that applications can be submitted for one campus only.
