About the course

The course is offered in the fall and spring semesters but is not a follow-up course. Therefore, students staying for two semesters can choose to apply for this course in the fall or the spring semester. It is not possible to enrol for both semesters.

The course targets all students and provides basic training in intercultural communication through a student-active developmental learning approach. The course has a holistic and constructivist approach to intercultural competence development. This means that we emphasize self-reflection, active interaction, and practical application of general and culturally specific frameworks to facilitate the students' intercultural competence development.
