Student groups and NGOs

There is a broad offer of student groups, student associations, and NGOs one can join at Campus Lillehammer. Please be aware that the offer may vary from year to year. You can join as many as you would like and have time for.

Student groups

Activities offered by students for students at Campus Lillehammer. Please be aware that information on different Facebook groups and webpages may be only in Norwegian. However, if you are interested in joining one/several groups, contact them on Facebook or send them an e-mail.

DNT ung

DNT ung is the young adult group of the Norwegian Trekking Association (DNT). They arrange “Lillymandag”, which are trips and activities in the local environment in Lillehammer every Monday. This can include hiking, playing frisbee golf, skiing and more. They might also arrange weekend trips, focusing on outdoor sports.

Framtiden i våre hender Lillehammer (the Future in our hands)

This national environmental and solidarity organisation works for ethical and environmentally friendly consumption.

Friluftsgruppa (The Outdoor Group)

The Outdoor Group is the main student group for outdoor events. They have three areas of focus: hiking, climbing, and extreme sports. Do notice that their offer may vary from semester to semester/year to year.

Fusion

This group arranges events focussing on getting to know different cultures, often including food.

Laget (Christian student group)

Laget is a Christian student group for students who wish to share thoughts, pray, eat, read the Bible and have conversations.

Lillehammer Filmklubb (Lillehammer Movie Club)

Lillehammer Movie Club screens movies weekly and arranges movie and TV quizzes every second Tuesday.

Lillehammer Student Sports (LSI)

LSI is Campus Lillehammer's official student sports club. They offer a variety of sports for their members. A membership costs approximately NOK 300 per semester. Members get access to the Campus Gym and can participate in several sports.

LilleRøst (choir)

LilleRøst (external link) is the Student Choir. They offer practices, social gatherings, concerts and a trip to London for its members. They practice every Monday afternoon. Everyone is welcome to join.

Musikkgruppa (The Music Group)

A group for students who play instruments, sing or rap. With a membership, students get access to the music room and an opportunity to get to know other musicians. Once a month the group arranges an open stage night at Fabrikken, where everyone is welcome to join – both to perform and to listen.

Skhilåmi

Skhilåmi is a student group for ski and snowboard enthusiasts. Their main focus is to provide a good social environment for Lillehammer's students by organizing fun and exciting events. Some of their events include the yearly cabin trip to Hemsedal, surfing trips to Stadt, Hafjell and more.

Spillsamfunnet Innlandet (Gaming Society)

The Gaming Society is a group for students who love to play board games and/or other games. They host Gaming nights throughout the semester, open to everyone who wants to join.

Start Lillehammer (Start LHMR)

The student group Start Lillehammer works to enhance innovation and entrepreneurship through various events. With over 500 members divided into 17 different groups nationwide, the network meets twice yearly in different cities. It is a perfect opportunity to meet students across Norway who share the same interests.

StINN

StINN is a party-political independent interest organization. They safeguard and work for the academic, democratic and welfare rights of the students at INN University. Each year, a Norwegian student is elected to represent international students. StINN has the students' well-being as their most important goal, and they are engaged in internationalization.

Studenten

Studenten is the student cafe and bar on the bottom floor of the main building on Campus Lillehammer. They host various events throughout each semester and cooperate with many student groups. Students can also sign up as volunteers for Studenten.

Student associations

Student associations are groups dedicated to a specific field of study. Please be aware that their Facebook pages are in Norwegian.

BOL-foreningen

This is a study association for students studying at the Bachelor level within Organisation and Management. They arrange various events, and it is free to join.

ISH Study Association

This association is for students studying international relations. They arrange several events throughout the semesters. An annual 200 NOK membership fee gives free access to all their events.

Psykologiforbundet Lillehammer

The Psychology Association has a local branch in Lillehammer. The Association is the only Norwegian Union where students of higher education within Psychology can gather and share knowledge.

Reiselivsforeningen (RSF)

Reiselivsforeningen is a union for students and employees within tourism at INN University, Campus Lillehammer. The union acts as a link with information on tourism and education. The Union arrange a variety of events for its members.

Sport Management Foreningen

This is a union for students studying Sport Management studies. They offer a variety of activities for 150 NOK in membership fees per year.

Økonomiforeningen

The Economy Union is a study association for students studying Economics and Administration. They arrange social and academic (mainly in Norwegian) events. Join the association's Facebook group for free.

Some NGOs have student groups at Campus Lillehammer.

Amnesty Lillehammer

Amnesty International is an independent global organisation that strives for the equality of all people. They inspire people against injustice to bring the world closer to human rights and dignity enjoyed by all. Amnesty Lillehammer is a local branch led by students in Campus Lillehammer.

SAIH Lillehammer

SAIH, the Norwegian Students' and Academics' International Assistance Fund, works to improve the conditions for education and development globally. SAIH Innlandet is a local branch. They aim to inform about the problems students, academics, suppressed groups and others experience in different countries. They arrange events, movie nights and more.
