Forskningen min er sterkt fokusert på bevaring av store pattedyr med fokus på Europa og Sentral-Asia.

  • Jeg ønsker å forstå den økologiske rollen og kravene til fokale arter og deres interaksjon med andre arter – inkludert mennesker – i landskapsskalaen. Jeg er spesielt interessert i dyrebevegelser og migrasjoner.
  • Forskningen min er tverrfaglig og kombinerer dyrelivsøkologi med forskning på menneskelige dimensjoner som menneskelig – sameksistens av dyreliv vil til syvende og sist avhenge av verdiene folk har for dyrelivet og deres vilje til å dele rom og ressurser.
  • Jeg bruker et mangfold av verktøy og metoder som GPS-telemetri, genetikk, isotopanalyse, droneundersøkelser, fjernmåling og spørreskjemaer.
  • Jeg føler et sterkt ansvar for å undervise neste generasjon, bygge kapasitet på mine forskningsområder og formidle resultatene til vitenskapsmiljøet og allmennheten på en forståelig og attraktiv måte.
