Solomon Mulat is a PhD candidate at the Department of Forestry and Wildlife Management at HINN. His research focuses on the habitat dynamics of livestock and wild ungulates in Norwegian landscapes, as well as understanding the underlying drivers of these dynamics. He has a BSc in Forestry from Hawassa University in Ethiopia and an MSc in Geo-information Science and Earth Observation from the University of Twente in the Netherlands. His research interests include land use change, forest biomass and carbon, and forest inventory.
