Short description

Gabriel is Associate Professor of Business Administration with a focus on digitalization and member of CREDS - Center for research on digitalization and sustainability. He earned his PhD from Örebro University in 2016 and holds both a BBA (2005) and MBA (2008) from Cleveland State University. In addition to his academic background, Gabriel brings practical experience from managerial positions in the transportation industry and management consulting, as well as serving on the board of several firms.

Gabriel's research centers on the intersection of digitalization, entrepreneurship, innovation, and strategy, with a focus on startup development, the innovation ecosystem and smart specialization, business model innovation, and entrepreneurs.

Gabriel serves as a member of the Editorial Review Board for the Journal of Small Business and Enterprise Development and the Journal of Small Business and Entrepreneurship. Gabriel has published in journals such as Journal of Business Research, R&D Management, Industrial Marketing Management, European Journal of Innovation Management, Journal of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Journal of Small Business and Entrepreneurship. Gabriel regularly teaches courses in entrepreneurship, innovation and business development.
